THE WATCH PLAYS GENESIS
Only a year after performing to a full house of fans of "classic"
Genesis, Italy's The Watch is back with an almost entirely different
show, focussed on the "Foxtrot" and 1973's "Live"
era, in other words (as the real connoisseur would say) the "Blue
Show". Ever since it first appeared, the Milan-based group was
praised by some, and criticised by others, for the close proximity of
its own music with that of 1971-75 era Genesis. Making the best of the
situation, they used it as an asset, deciding to respectfully revisit
this mythical repertoire that Genesis itself abandoned years ago. 12-string
guitars, flute and analog keyboard sounds are used to perfect the sonic
illusion.
Simone Rossetti lead vocals, flute
Giorgio Gabriel guitars
Valerio De Vittorio keyboards
Guglielmo Mariotti bass, guitars
Marco Fabbri drums
EX-VAGUS
Serving again as opening act will be the Grenoble-based, Ange-influenced
Ex-Vagus, who have received praise from the master himself, Christian
Décamps.
Eric Vedovati lead vocals
Dominique Barboyon keyboards
Xavier Le-Loupp guitars
Regis Costagutto bass
Thierry Lesaffre drums
